indigo seed available

Fresh Japanese indigo (Polygonum tinctorium) seeds are available online at the Fibershed Marketplace for the 2013 growing season! If you're thinking about planting indigo this year, you should buy the seeds now before they sell out again. Late February is the time to plant your seedling trays indoors...

FIBERLAB: we need your input

Calling All Designers, Artisans & Small Manufacturers... (and those seeking to learn!) Fibershed needs your input for the development of FiberLab, a focused space to develop local fiber prototypes in a supportive and skilled community in the San Francisco Bay Area. FiberLab will be a membership organization designed to create open access and classes to hone your skills in textile creation. Knitting frames, looms, heavy weight fabric construction sewing equipment...and more, will be available to learn and create on. Prototype development from FiberLab directly supports our larger goals to re-vitalize permanent manufacturing jobs in our community.

If you want to see this manifest... here's the first step:

Designers, artists, artisans and craftspeople please fill out this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FiberMakerSpace
