Creative Growth is an internationally known studio & gallery that serves artists with
developmental, mental and physical disabilities. It is a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California that provides a professional studio environment for artistic development, gallery exhibition and representation.
In the studio we have a woodworking shop, ceramics area, sewing lab, printmaking area, a digital animation & film
workshop, a rug workshop and LOTS of space for drawing and painting. I am fortunate to be part of the studio staff working directly to support the artists. Currently in my mixed media/sewing group, we are translating our
drawings into 3D, making fabric sculptures, weird indie-plush, clothing and furniture.
Utilizing up-cycled materials and building upon our skills in unexpected
ways, but mostly we're have lots of fun.
If you are in the San Francisco bay area, plan a visit to the studio & see what we're up to - there is always so much going on!
